In the three - month periods ended March 31, 2003, revenues from the sale of goods and the rendering of services are Baht 36,677 million. The operating result of the Company and its subsidiaries appear a net profit of Baht 4,787 million, an increase of Baht 64 million or 1.3%. Although the Company is effected by the Irag War in March 2003.
The operating result for the six - month periods ended March 31, 2003 of the Company and its subsidiaries appear a net profit of Baht 8,297 million, an increase of Baht 2,523 million or 43.7% compared to the same period last year. The revenues from the sale of goods and the rendering of services amounted to Baht 73,254 million, an increase of Baht 10,134 million or 16.1%. The transportation revenues amounted to Baht 69,904 million, and increase of Baht 9,875 million or 16.1% due to the increase in new destinations, capacity, and flight frequencies on international routes resulting in an increase in a total traffic (RTK) by 10.3% from last year. Total yield (THB/RTK) increases by 5.3%. While selling and administrative expenses increase amount of Baht 3,915 million or 7.0% arising from a production expansion. As a result, the Company and its subsidiaries have a profit from the sale of goods and the rendering of service amount of Baht 13,753 million, an increase of Baht 6,219 million or 82.5% from last year. However, the Company and its subsidiaries have gain on foreign currency exchange amount of Baht 553 million in the six - month periods of current fiscal year while the gain on foreign currency exchange amounted of Baht 4,001 million at the same period last year.
