THAI Resumes Direct Flight From Tokyo to Phuket


Thai Airways International Public Company Limited announced it will resume operating direct flight from Tokyo to Phuket, starting from 17 July 2008 onwards.

Flg.Off.Apinan Sumanaseni, President of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, said that in order to serve the growing demand and travel needs of Japanese passengers, THAI will re-launch direct flight TG 671 operating Tokyo-Phuket-Bangkok. The direct flight was suspended since February 2005 after the Tsunami. 

THAI will operate 2 flights per week, on Thursday and Saturday, with departure from Tokyo at 10.00 hrs. (Tokyo time) and arrival in Phuket at 15.25 hrs. (local time). The return flight will depart from Phuket at 16.30 hrs. and arrive in Bangkok at 17.55 hrs. The aircraft employed will be B777-200, with 30 seats in Royal Executive class and 279 in economy class.

THAI is the only airline operating from Tokyo to Phuket, effective on 17 July onwards.
