Itinerary

Day 1: Take a morning flight to Bhairahawa where, after lunch, you’ll visit the Maya Devi Temple with its famous 4th-century stone sculpture of the Lord Buddha’s mother. Then see the remains of the Ashoka Pillar, erected in 249BC to commemorate the birthplace of the Lord Buddha. (D)
