Itinerary

Hanoi– Lao Cai – SAPA

Pick up at hotel in Hanoi and transfer to Hanoi train station for an overnight trip to Lao Cai in sharing comfortable sleeping compartments of Victoria Carriage.

Overnight on Victoria Express Train

SAPA – Ham Rong – CatCatVillage– SAPA

Early morning, arrived at Lao Cai, the border town to Yunnan for a scenic 38 km drive on winding roads up the mountains to SAPA, which is approximately 1500 meters above sea level. On clear days, you can see the highest mountain of Vietnam, the Fansipan.

After a continental breakfast at the hotel, you will have time to relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape from your balcony.

Late morning short trek to Ham Rong mountain where you can enjoy the minority show performed by the young minority ladies and men. Trek back to SAPA to visit the market.

Lunch at local restaurant.

In the afternoon, take a short drive to Cat Cat village which is the home to Hmong People. You will get a chance to walk around the village to share the daily lives of the locals for a rare glimpse into their culture and customs.

Drive back to the hotel.

Overnight at Victoria Hotel. (B,L)

SAPA – Ta Phin Village – Lao Cai – Night train to Hanoi

Morning at leisure for own activities followed by lunch at restaurant.

After lunch, take a scenic 6 km drive to Ta Phin Village which is lying in a hillside meadow, the home to Red Dzao and Hmong people.

During late afternoon, take a drive to Lao Cai for dinner at a local restaurant.

Board the overnight train to Hanoi in comfortable sleeping compartments of Victoria-Carriage.
