- Two morning (Saturday and Sunday: 10.00-14.00) Thai cooking class sessions instructed by executive chef Tummanoon. Certificate, sheets of recipes and Mom Tri’s apron will be given to each participant. Lunch is included.
Itinerary
It takes more than a weekend to master the art of Thai cookery, but on this short course at the Mom Tri Boathouse you’ll gain all the knowledge and skill you need to prepare a range of authentic dishes.
Under the guidance of executive chef Tummanoon Punchun you’ll learn about ingredients and preparation techniques in a relaxed environment before trying your hand at a total of nine dishes over the two days.
Just make sure you pay attention to chef, because the dishes you and your fellow students prepare will also be your lunch!
Please note that the itinerary is subject to change, but here’s what’s currently on the menu:
Saturday: Your day starts at 10.00 and you will cook for three hours before taking lunch. On Saturday you will create a selection of appetisers and salads.
Appetisers:
Seafood krabeung – deep-fried seafood crepe.
Mee krob – sweet and sour crispy rice vermicelli.
Salad:
Larb moo – spicy minced pork salad with toasted rice powder.
Yam hed hoo noo – spicy white mushroom salad with chicken.
Sunday: Your day starts again at 10.00, with three hours of cooking and an hour for lunch. Today you will create a soup, main course and dessert.
Soup:
Tom yam pla – spicy soup with fish.
Main course:
Gaeng phed gai – red curry with chicken.
Pla rad prik – deep-fried fish with garlic and chilli sauce.
Phad pak ruan – mixed vegetables in oyster sauce.
Dessert:
Bua loy – batters in sweetened coconut milk.
