One of the most 'laid-back' cities in Australia, Melbourne let's you step back in time and show your kids a very different way of life.
They can visit a gold-mining town and try their hand at panning for gold, see the village blacksmith in action, and go underground in search of quartz.
Then they can get to experience the life on a working farm. After sheep shearing , they can feed the kangaroos and make frends with the local wombat family.
And show they think Melbourn is routed in the past, a trip to the top of the Melbourne Observatory will give them a spectacular 360-degree view of this great city.
