  • Transportation and meals as per programme plus guided tour at ice hotel, snowmobile tour, dogsled tour and half day city tour in Stockholm.

Itinerary

Day 1:

Bangkok - Stockholm - Kiruna

06.50:   Arrive Stockholm
12.00:   Depart Stockholm to Kiruna by SAS flight.
13.05:   SAS flight arrive at Kiruna airport.

             Representation from Ice hotel will meet and
             welcome the guests to Kiruna, the samll mining
             town 200 km north of the Arctic Circle.

             During the winter period from December to
             April, the winter sky is often lit up by the 
             amazing Aurora Borealis, with its beautiful
             and magic colourings and scribbling.
13.30:   Guided bus transfer to Jukkasjarvi.
13.45:   Arrive the small village of Jukkasjarvi, 
             beautifully situated by the Torne river.

             This is the village where the famous Ice hotel
             is built each year.

             The story of Jukkasjarvi (The name 
             Jukkasjarvi means  meeting place) goes back
             to the 17th century when it was a market and
             meeting place the laplanders, settlers and
             hunters in the area.
14.00:   Lunch buffet in the Ice hotel restaurant.

             The restaurant is famous for its cuisine,
             specialised in the local lapish dishes such as 
             reindeer, moose, char, whitefish and of 
             course cow berriers and cloud berries.
15.00:   The guests will be supplied whith very warm
             winter clothes such as snowmobile suite,
             fur hat, mittens and insulated snowmobile 
             boots.
15.30:   A guide tour of Ice hotel.
             In Ice hotel you will find a chaple, where
             weddings and christenings take place, all the
             beautifully ornamented rooms and suites 
             and sculptures made of anow and ice and
             the absolut icebar made od ice from the
             Trone river.

             The absolut icebar was in 1994 chosen to
             be among the ten most spectacular bars in
             the world by the amazing newaweek.

             The tour ends with a drink served in an ice
             glass at the bar.
16.30:   Check in to your accommodation.

             For cold accommodation:-
             Check in to double ice rooms.
             Everyone is equipped with sleeping bags.
             The recommended sleeping utensils are
             long sleeved underware, socks and a hat
             on your head.
             You sleep in beds made out of ice on 
             insulating and soft mattresses and reindeer 
             hides. Inside temperatures varies between
             3 to 6 degrees celsius depending on the
             outdoor temperatures.

             For warm accommodation:-
             Check in to warm hotel room.
             Rest of day is at leisure.

             3 course ice dinner
20.00:   Dinner will be served in the ice hotel 
             restaurant.
             After dinner the bar in the celler of the 
             restaurant and the absolut icebar will be 
             opened until 01.00 A.M.
             Accommodation in Ice hotel.

Day 2:

Ice Hotel

07.30:   The guests are worken up and will be 
             served a warm non alcoholic drink. Walk 
             to the Jukkasjarvi sauna department for a 
             hot sauna. Have a wonderful buffet 
             breakfast at hotel.

10.30:   Go for the dog sleds tour. Then you will 
             be served a wildnerness lunch inside a 
             cosy wooden hut where a fire is sparkling 
             in the open fire place.
14.30:   Back in Jukkasjarvi and leave back the 
             borrowed winter clothes and shoes.
17.10:   Snowmobile tour. First a short introduction 
             in the noble art of driving this winter vehicle. 
             2 people per snowmobile who take turns 
             driving.
17.30:   The landscape is covered in deep, white 
             snow and you will be able to enjoy the 
             fantastic scenery as well as the driving. On 
             he way a stop will be made and you will be 
             served coffee/tea and cake in a wooden hut, 
             sitting around a sparkling fire.

19.30:   Back at Ice Hotel.
             Accommodation in Ice Hotel.

Day 3:

Kiruna – Stockholm

             Breakfast at hotel.
             At leisure until transfer to airport.
16.00:   Arrive stockholm.
             Free time for shopping.
             Dinner
             Overnight at Clarion hotel.

Day 4:

Stockholm
            
             Scandinavian breakfast at hotel.
09.00:   Go for half day sightseeing tour at Vasa ship
             museum and city hall.
P.M.:    Afternoon free at leisure.
            
Overnight at Clarion Hotel.

Day 5:

Stockholm - Bangkok
  
             Scandinavian breakfast at hotel.
             At leisure until time to transfer to airport for 
             the return flight to Bangkok.
