Award Conditions

The following conditions apply to Award travel on THAI, Star Alliance and Partner airlines.

For online Award redemption at www.thaiairways.com/rop miles are deducted from your account after the Award transaction is completed.

For Awards issued by a THAI office, miles are deducted from your account within 3 working days of obtaining confirmed Award reservations or before ticket issue, whichever comes first.

If Award tickets are not picked-up within 30 days after reservations are confirmed, you must contact THAI for mileage credit. Any expiring miles cannot be re-credited.

Award tickets must be picked-up by members, or by others who present written authorisation for ticket pick-up.

Prior to ticket issue, you may change Award travel flight dates, routing provided Award travel remains in the same zone, or Award recipient names subject to Award transfer conditions.

All other changes require mileage to be re-credited to your account and new reservations requested. Allow 3 working days for mileage re-credit.

After Award tickets within Thailand are issued you may change travel dates or flight numbers with no service fee charged, or change to another domestic destination subject to service fees. Domestic tickets are valid for 1 year from the date of issue and cannot be returned for mileage re-credit.

International Award tickets are valid for 1 year from the date of issue, and once issued you may change travel dates or flight number with no service fee charged. Any other changes require mileage to be recredited, subject to service fees, and new reservations requested.

Once travel has commenced no routing changes or mileage re-credit are permitted. Totally unused international Award tickets may be returned for mileage re-credit, subject to service fees. Lost or stolen international Award tickets are not eligible for mileage re-credit, but can be reissued subject to service fees.
