Bangkok's DonMuangInternationalAirport, 29 km. north of the city, comprises three terminals, from north to south: Terminal 1, the newer Terminal 2, and the Domestic Terminal. Terminals 1 and 2 are adjacent buildings connected by a short corridor. The Domestic Terminal, for flights to destinations within Thailand, is 300 metres south of Terminal 2 and is connected to both international terminals by a free shuttle bus which runs at 15-minute intervals
Most of the airport's many excellent restaurants and services are located within Terminal 1. The Transit Lounge for both Terminals is located Terminal 1, just before reaching the Immigration desks. Proceeding through Terminals 1 and 2
After disembarking your aircraft, follow the signs to Immigration for passport and visa check for visa information . Once cleared, descend the escalator to the baggage carousel; a large overhead sign indicates the belt number for your flight. Baggage carts are free.
After retrieving your baggage, walk to the Customs counters and present the completed Customs forms you should have received on board as your plane was landing. If you have nothing to declare—most foreign passengers do not—pass through the Green Channel. If you have dutiable goods, declare them at the Red Channel. Through the sliding doors, you enter the Main Arrival Hall where you will find counters exchanging most of the world's major currencies for Thai . Directly ahead of you are several counters that provide tourism information, book a hotel room, and arrange transportation into the city. The THAI Limousine Services desk is located here. In Terminal 1, groups normally exit to the right and individual travellers exit to the left. The 24-hour Left Luggage facility on the northern end of Terminal 1. For a small fee you can store suitcases and other items for up to 90 days. A post office with fax and long-distance telephone services is located one floor up in the Departure Hall. Other facilities include a first aid station, lost and found department, and numerous gift shops.
