Suvarnabhumi Airport
General InformationOfficially opened on September 28, 2006, Suvarnabhumi Airport covers an approximate area of 8,000 acres (20,000 rais). It is located at Km.15 on the east-bound Bangna-Trat Highway in Bang Phli District of Samut Prakarn province, about 25 kms.(40-60 minutes) from Bangkok downtown.

From the North : the airport can be reached via the eight-lane Bangkok - Chonburi elevated expressway linked to the passenger terminal

From the Northwest : it is accessible via a six-lane road linking to the Rom Khlao and King Kaew elevated expressway

From the South : it can be reached via a four-lane road connecting with Bangna - Trat Highway and the Buraphavithi Expressway

From the Northeast: the airport is accessible via a four-lane road that connects with On-Nut Road

From the West: it can be reached via a four-lane road connecting with King Kaew Road (new route) to the passenger terminal
In the future, a city link between Phayathai – Makkasan - Suvarnabhumi Airport (an underground railway station underneath the passenger terminal) will be provided by the State Railway of Thailand. Passenger Terminal Complex (PTC)The PTC has 10 entrance gates accessed by 2 roads which are Inner Curb and Outer Curb. It is combined with the connected 7 concourses which are A, B, C, D, E, F, and G. Concourses A, B are for domestic flights and the others are for international flights. Domestic and International passenger services are handled under the same roof.
