Redeem your miles for award tickets on THAI or Star Alliance partner airlines and embark on your next travel experience.

Make every journey more rewarding by reviewing the key terms and conditions prior to redemption and travel.

Review Information Before Redeeming Awards

Before proceeding with award redemption, kindly review all applicable terms and procedures for both THAI flights and Star Alliance member airline flights to ensure accuracy and a smooth travel experience.

You may conveniently redeem your accumulated miles for award tickets through our online system. Please note that travel using award tickets is subject to seat availability on each flight. Flexible travel dates may increase the likelihood of securing available award seats. Award tickets can be issued only after all flights in the reservation have been fully confirmed.

If your desired route is not available for online mileage redemption or if you have special booking requests, please contact THAI Reservations worldwide for further assistance.

Asiana Airlines (OZ) exit from Star Alliance

Royal Orchid Plus members may redeem miles for Asiana Airlines award flights only if travel is completed on or before 16 December 2026.

Royal Orchid Plus Award Tickets for travel on flights operated by Asiana Airlines with a travel date from 17 December 2026 onwards will no longer be valid for travel.

Please review the award ticket redemption conditions carefully to ensure a smooth reservation process and the most effective use of your accumulated miles.

  • Reservation and ticket issuance are not allowed if the mileage balance in the account is insufficient to redeem an award ticket.
  • Please note that all award travel must be completed within one year from the date of ticket issuance.
  • Members are required to issue award tickets within the time period specified by THAI in order to retain their reserved seats. If ticket issuance is not completed within the specified period, the reservation will be automatically cancelled and the miles will be recredited to the member’s account. Expired miles, however, cannot be reinstated.
  • Changes to travel dates and flight routes may be made without a fee prior to award ticket issuance.
  • For other changes prior to ticket issuance, members may request a mileage refund. Miles will be recredited to the account within 5 business days, after which a new award redemption may be made.
  • After award ticket issuance, changes to travel dates or flights, as well as ticket refunds, are permitted subject to applicable fees.
  • Once an award ticket has been issued, no other changes are permitted. However, members may cancel the award ticket and request a mileage refund, subject to a service fee, before making a new award redemption.
  • Please note that expired miles used for award redemption cannot be recredited to the mileage account. Details of service fees, click here.
  • Once travel has commenced on an award ticket, changes to the routing are not permitted and mileage refunds cannot be processed.
  • Members may issue award tickets personally or authorize another person to do so on their behalf. A duly signed authorization letter and copies of the member’s identification documents are required.

  • THAI only may issue Air Award tickets.
  • No stopovers or connecting flights are permitted for Award travel within Thailand.
  • One open jaw at origin is permitted within the same country and same zone or one open jaw at point of turnaround is permitted within the same zone and direction.
  • Backtracking is permitted on international Award travel. Stopovers when backtracking are permitted only on intercontinental travel, for example Kuala Lumpur-Bangkok-Sydney. One stopover is permitted in each direction, subject to a fee.
  • An onward connecting flight within 24 hours is not considered a stopover. Details of service fees, click here.
  • All taxes and surcharges associated with Award travel are the responsibility of the member or ticket holder and may be collected at ticket issue or during the Award journey.
