Relax before your journey at THAI lounges
With a miles redemption, Royal Orchid Plus members can enjoy a more comfortable pre-flight experience at THAI lounges—featuring food and beverages, work-friendly facilities, and shower rooms available at select Royal Silk Lounges—helping you travel smoothly from start to finish.
- Royal Orchid Plus Basic and Silver members may redeem 6,500 miles per visit for access to the Royal Silk Lounge at Suvarnabhumi Airport.
- Members may also redeem the same amount (6,500 miles per person) for a travel companion traveling on the same THAI flight.
- Royal Orchid Plus Gold and Platinum members, and one accompanying guest, enjoy complimentary lounge access at Suvarnabhumi Airport in accordance with membership benefits, with no additional charge.
- Gold and Platinum members may also redeem lounge access for additional accompanying guests at 5,500 miles per person.
- Kindly present your membership card or digital membership card, together with your boarding pass, to the lounge staff when using the lounge.
Lounge access redeemed with miles is subject to availability at the time of entry and may be restricted or unavailable during peak periods. The lounge access duration is 2 hours 30 minutes per visit, with the following details:
- Domestic Business Class Lounge: Level 2 Concourse A (Piers A) open 05:00–22:00
- International Business Class Lounge: Level 3, Concourse D and E (Piers D and E), open 05:00–02:00 (next day), unless otherwise advised
- Please note that shower facilities and/or other special services are not included in this miles redemption.

Tickets with baggage allowance specified under the Piece Concept (issued on or after 25 November 2025) are currently not eligible for redemption of this Excess Baggage Award.

Royal Orchid Plus miles required for redeeming Excess Baggage Awards are as per the chart below. Excess Baggage Awards are valid for one sector only from Bangkok to final destination. Miles required are aligned with excess baggage charges on THAI operated flights.

At airport check-in in Bangkok, at least 2 hours prior to flight departure determine the amount of excess baggage and go to THAI Customer Service where miles are instantly deducted from your account, then present the receipt at check-in. You can even redeem miles for an Award Nominee, however you must also be present at check-in to authorize mileage deduction from your account. Whatever the reason for overweight baggage, shopping, studying or extended travel Excess Baggage Awards are a great way to use miles and save.
