Standby Upgrade Surcharges are only available on THAI-operated flights and can only be arranged at the Airport check-in counter prior to each flight. Upgrades are strictly subject to both seat and catering availability and will be quoted in the local currency of your departure city. Travellers have the option to upgrade from Economy to Royal Silk Business Class or on some routes where Royal First Class cabins are available, Upgrade Surcharges may be available from Royal Silk Business Class to Royal First Class. Conditions: Standby Upgrade Surcharges cannot be pre-booked and are only available for sale at the Airport check-in counter before each flight sector. The standby upgrade surcharges quoted are per person, based on local departure city currency. All rates are subject to change. Upgrade surcharges are applicable to all normal fare types, ticketed as a THAI 217 travel document and booked for travel on THAI-operated aircraft with three digit flight numbers. They are not applicable to travel industry or travel agent discounted fares, frequent flyer redemption tickets, ZED, barter tickets or for tickets issued by other airlines or interline partners. Child or infant discounts do not apply. Any additional taxes incurred with the upgrade are at the expense of the passenger. Frequent flyer mileage accrual is based on the original fare paid and additional mileage will not apply for the upgraded flight sector.
