Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) received two Skytrax Awards for the World’s Best Airline Lounge Spa and the Best Airline Staff in Asia at the Skytrax 2019 World Airline Awards Ceremony that was held at the Paris le Bourget Exhibition Centre, Musee de l’Air de l’Espace, Paris Airshow, Paris-Le Bourget Airport.
Mr. Sumeth Damrongchaitham, THAI President, said “In this challenging business environment, being voted the World’s Best Airline Lounge Spa for five consecutive years is a marvelous achievement for THAI, reflecting our world class service standard and quality at an international level. We are also very proud of the Best Airline Staff Service award that recognizes the combined customer experience of airline staff service on ground at airports and on board flights. In addition, THAI ranked among one of the World’s Top 10 Airlines of 2019 and Best Cabin Crew in Thailand. World Airline Awards are the results of the Skytrax survey that was first launched in 1999 as the first worldwide, annual airline customer satisfaction survey, which is 100 percent independent, impartial, and global. This year’s Skytrax survey was conducted during September 2018 to May 2019, whereby over 100 customer nationalities participated in the survey with 21.65 million eligible entries counted in the results. Skytrax World Airline Awards are a global benchmark of airline excellence and are described as “the Oscars of the aviation industry.”
