Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) operates normal flights to Fukuoka, Japan and waives fees for ticketing changes.

 

Due to the earthquake at Kyushu Island, Japan, causing destruction and difficulty for THAI passengers traveling to and from Fukuoka, THAI is waiving fees for ticket changes during this period. Fees are waived for passengers holding THAI tickets issued from Thailand before 15 April 2016 for the round trip route Bangkok-Fukuoka-Bangkok, including THAI domestic tickets that are part of the Bangkok-Fukuoka-Bangkok itinerary.

 

1. Fees are waived for passengers who have already used part of their tickets, but are not able to return on the pre-booked flight. Passengers may change the date of their return flight in the same class of service. However, the return date must be before the expiry date of the ticket.

2. Fees are waived for passengers holding the complete unused ticket itinerary with travel date booked within 30 April 2016. Passengers may change the travel date one (1) time for the same class of travel and follow the same conditions as specified on the tickets.

3. Passengers requiring route change may change to Tokyo, Osaka, or Nagoya with no fees applied. However, passengers must pay the difference in ticket fares and associated taxes.

THAI hosts launch party for A350 on London to Bangkok route

 

On 18th September 2017, Thailand’s ambassador to the UK, His Excellency Mr. Pisanu Suvanajata, was the guest of honour as Thai Airways (THAI) hosted a launch event to mark the inaugural flight of the Airbus 350 (A350) onto its non-stop, double-daily London-Bangkok route.


Mr. Pisanu Suvanajata was joined at the event at London’s Heathrow Airport, Terminal 2 by Ms. Nonthakorn Trakulpa, General Manager, THAI UK and Ireland, as well as other VIP guests of THAI from the Royal Thai Embassy and the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

 

The new aircraft has replaced the B777 THAI previously used for its overnight TG917 service will work alongside the A380 it has used for its TG911 daytime departure from Heathrow’s Terminal 2 since 2015.

 

Carrying a total of 321 passengers in two classes – 32 in Royal Silk Class (Business) and 289 in Economy Class – the new aircraft sees cutting-edge technology combine with ergonomic design to ensure maximum passenger comfort.

 

Royal Silk Class customers will enjoy 21-inch wide seats that recline a full 180 degrees, greater personal space, extra-large overhead lockers, fast Wi-fi and a 16-inch personal touchscreen.

 

Economy Class passengers will enjoy18-inch wide seats, Wi-fi and smartphone connectivity and an 11-inch screen featuring movies, games and music.

 

TG917 departs Heathrow at 21:25 daily, arriving at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport at 15:00. 

 

TG911 departs Heathrow at 12.30pm daily, arriving at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport at 05.45am.
