This is to support the Government’s effort in reviving tourism sector starting with Phuket Sandbox initiative. Furthermore, THAI is planning to increase flights in its winter programme in 2021 to accommodate travel demands.
THAI prioritizes Hygiene Excellence in offering services. THAI and THAI Smile are Thailand’s first airlines that are accredited with the Amazing Thailand Safety & Health Administration (SHA) standard of the Tourism and Sports Ministry. The frontline staff whose duties are to be in close contact with customers will practice Physical Distancing to keep a safe space and limit personal contact. In addition, after every flight, cockpit area and all passenger cabins will undergo a spray disinfectant process together with deep cleaning and sterilization in 36 touch-points. Every flight is hygienically ensured with HEPA (High Efficiency-Particulate-Air) filter that removes 99.99% of particles. THAI also strictly complies with the COVID-19 preventive measures of the Centre for COVID- 19 Situation Administration (CCSA) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) in flight operations.
The Amazing Thailand Safety & Health Administration (SHA) is a project in collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Ministry of Public Health and public and private sectors aiming at elevating the country’s tourism industry, health and hygiene standards. SHA was recognized by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) to be in alignment with the WTTC SafeTravels global health and hygiene standardized protocols. Tourism operators who have been awarded with SHA and WTTC SafeTravels will enhance confidences among international and Thai tourists in Thailand’s effective health and hygiene standards.
