SURCLASSEMENT EN LISTE D’ATTENTE (STANDBY UPGRADE)

Le surclassement en liste d’attente (Standby Upgrade) est proposé au comptoir d’enregistrement, le jour du départ, aux passagers voyageant avec THAI qui souhaitent profiter d’un confort supérieur, selon les disponibilités à bord.

Cette option simple et flexible permet de passer vers une classe supérieure, moyennant un supplément fixe appliqué au moment du départ.

I. Règles générales

Deux grilles tarifaires s’appliquent selon le point d’embarquement :

  • Depuis la Thaïlande : montants exprimés en THB (baht thaïlandais)
  • Depuis les autres pays : montants exprimés en devise locale correspondante

Le Standby Upgrade peut être demandé uniquement après l’émission du billet d’origine. Il est possible d’obtenir un surclassement :

  • Economy class vers Premium Economy class
  • Economy class vers Business class
  • Premium Economy class vers Premium Economy Plus class
  • Premium Economy class vers Business class
  • Business class vers First class

Remarque : le supplément applicable est celui en vigueur au comptoir d’enregistrement, le jour du départ.

II. Conditions d’éligibilité et modalités

Sont éligibles pour un surclassement en liste d’attente :

  • Les billets émis sur document THAI (217‑) utilisant un tarif publié par THAI
  • Les vols opérés par THAI, identifiés par un numéro de vol THAI à trois chiffres (ex. TG931)

Ne sont pas éligibles pour un surclassement en liste d’attente :

  • Billets à tarif réduit pour l’industrie ou les agents de voyages
  • Tarifs ZED
  • Billets prime ROP (Royal Orchid Plus)
  • Billets d’échange ou Barter tickets

Modalités pratiques

  • Le surclassement s'effectue à l'aéroport, au comptoir d'enregistrement, selon la disponibilité des sièges au moment du départ.
  • Ce service est valable pour tous types d'itinéraire : aller-simple, aller-retour, voyage circulaire, itinéraire à escale ouverte
  • Le montant du supplément est applicable par tronçon (aller-simple uniquement) et exprimé dans la devise locale au montant exact en vigueur.
  • Aucune réduction n'est applicable (enfant, bébé, accompagnateur ou agent de voyage).
  • Les taxes ou frais additionnels éventuels restent à la charge du passager.
  • Les miles sont crédités sur la base du tarif initialement payé.
  • Les frais de surclassement ne sont pas remboursables.

III. Avantages du surclassement en liste d’attente

  • Franchise bagages conforme à la classe de voyage
  • Accès aux salons THAI correspondant à cette nouvelle classe
  • Service de repas de la nouvelle classe, si le surclassement est confirmé au moins 2 heures avant le départ

IV. Tarifs du surclassement en liste d’attente

General Rule:

  1. This surcharge rate is applicable for passengers holding confirmed ticket in Economy class
  2. RBD " L " is not applicable for this Stand-by Upgrade Surcharge rate.
  3. Industry Discount, Agent Discount, ZED fares, ROP Award Redemption and Barter tickets are not permitted.
  4. This surcharge rate is applicable to all TG document issued by TG carrier fares provided that passenger is travelling on TG opreated flights (TG 3 digits)
  5. This surcharge rate is applies per sector. If a passenger's itinerary includes multiple sectors, the applicable upgrade route for each sector must be calculated separately are added together to determine the total upgrade cost.
  6. Mileage is earned on the original paid fares.
  7. Refund is not applicable to this surcharge. (Except irregularity Case)

Eligibility for Standby Upgrade Sales:

  1. The standby upgrade facility is applicable only to passengers who are confirmed as eligible by check-in staff, based on operational consideration and upgrade criteria.
  2. SSR Requirement : The pricing process must utilize SSR UPGC
  3. Standby upgrade sales may be conducted at Airport Ticket Offices only when the following conditions are met :

    - Fare different to higher cabin for selected destination

    - Prior to processing the sale, Airport Ticket Office staff must confirm seat availability with check-in counter staff.

This is to ensure alignment with the current policy, which allow such sales only at check-in counter unless otherwise coordinated.

Privileges for Stand-by Upgrade.

  1. Baggage Allowance/Lounge Access - permited in accordance with new class of service.
  2. Meal Service -in accordane with the new class of service if the upgrading process is completed 2 hours prior to flight departure
  3. Additional different YQ and Taxes charge included.
