KJÆLEDYR SOM INNSJEKKET BAGASJE (AVIH)

Denne tjenesten gjør det mulig for reisende å sjekke inn og hente sitt kjæledyr på passasjerterminalene ved avreise- og ankomstflyplassene. Kjæledyret vil bli lastet inn i lasterommet rett under passasjerkabinen, hvor det er trygt og oppbevares i et temperaturkontrollert miljø. Vennligst kontakt THAI Customer Contact Center for spesifikasjoner om godkjente bur eller transportkasser for kjæledyr.

Merk:: 

  • Kjæledyr som AVIH er ikke tillatt på følgende ruter på grunn av karantene eller andre restriksjoner:
    • Flygninger til Auckland, Denpasar, Dubai og Hongkong.
    • Flygninger til/fra Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth og Sydney
    • Flygninger som opereres med flytypen A320
  • For flygninger til/fra London må AVIH som overstiger 32 kg per enhet sendes som fraktgods

Av hensyn til sikkerheten for denne spesielle typen kjæledyr, aksepterer THAI ikke følgende 34 hunderaser som innsjekket bagasje.

ANIMAL IN HOLD (AVIH)

THAI accept only dogs and cats to be transported as AVIH, other kind of pets must be transported only as manifested cargo under cargo restrictions.

Conditions for Acceptance

THAI will accept dog/cat for carriage as checked baggage on the same flight as the passenger.

  • The age of dog/cat must be older than 4 months old for international flight and no restriction on domestic flight.
  • Only one dog (or cat) stays in one container except:
    • Two puppies or small dogs or kittens are allowed in one container.
    • Maximum total weight of small dogs or kittens is 10 kg. /container.
  • SNUB-NOSED and some other dog breeds due to their anatomical abnormalities are more vulnerable to changes in air quality and temperature. Their respiratory conditions become worse when flying at high altitudes. Therefore, they are more likely to concerned health conditions (death) on airplanes or at sorting area where temperature can be very hot or too cold. For the safety of these pets, TG will not allow the following dogs breeds to be transported,

  • TG may not accept the total weight of animal included container exceeds 70 kg.
  • Pet must be healthy and not pregnant.
  • AVIH are not applicable for aircraft A320 type.
  • AVIH is not included in baggage allowance.
  • Charges are applied based on total weight per animal including its container and the direction of journey.
  • Pets as AVIH are not allowed on the following routes due to quarantine or other conditions.
    • Flight to Auckland, Denpasar, Dubai, and Hong Kong.
    • Flight to/from Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
    • For flight to/from London, AVIH exceeding 32 kg. per piece must be sent via cargo. 

Within Domestic Journey

The charge for AVIH will be applied to all TG operating flights according to the following table. Total weight included container up to 70 kg.

Note

  1. The above “AVIH” is effective for travel on/after 02-March-2026 until further notice.
  2. “AVIH” must be assessed and charged before the passenger board the aircraft.
  3. The request must be done completely at least 3 working days in advance. Passengers should present at check-in counter at least 2 hours prior to the departure time.
  4. Passenger must provide a suitable container which used for air transportation i.e., strong leakage proof, clean, disinfected and covered with a layer of moisture absorbing material as the bottom such as wood shavings or sawdust except for hay straw, and suitable for pet to stand, lie down and turnaround in natural manner. 
  5. Passenger must provide sufficient food and water for the journey included transit/transfer period.
  6. Preparing required documentations for entry, health and /or transfer to countries enroute (No document required for travel on TG domestic flight).
  7. For purely domestic and travel commencing from BKK, charge rate applies in THB currency. For International, charge rate is separated shown in USD Currency. (converted to the local currency by using the Banker’s Selling Rate on the date of AVIH charged)
