Denpasar City (Bali) was built to commemorate heroes who fought the dutch for the liberation of the Balinese people. The city is near the southern edge of the island. With a rich history, Denpasar is also filled with museums and art centres, but perhaps it is most famous for the many nearby beaches. As the gateway for many to Bali, the city has thousands of years worth of ancient history, culture and heritage.
Bali has many attractions to visit such as Jimbaran beach, a famous beach packed with plenty of seafood restaurants; Jatiluwih rice terraces, a World Heritage site that is the only village growing Balipati rice, a local breed; and Bali Amed, a diving spot that featurs black volcanic stone in a nearly perfect half circle shaped beach with the beautiful Mount Agung as a backdrop. In addition, you can watch panoramic views from the Batur volcano and Lake. The best time to visit Bali is during April to September.
At Sardine you can rest assured that quality comes first because the daily delicacies differ according to the catch of the day from nearby Jimbaran market. Reservations are highly recommended.
