THAI and Airbus Undertake Joint Venture MRO in U-Tapao

General Prayut Chan-o-cha (second from left), Prime Minister of Thailand, and Mr. Emmanuel Macron (third from left), President of France, witnessed the new joint venture agreement between Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) and Airbus to establish a maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility at U-Tapao International Airport. Constructing the MRO facility at U-Tapao International Airport will create one of the most modern and extensive services in the Asia-Pacific region, bringing significant economic benefits for THAI and Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). The EEC is a core megaproject of the   government’s Thailand 4.0 policy, designed to develop world-class innovative technology-based manufacturing and services within the country.
