TICKET OPTIONS AVAILABLE TO YOU IF YOUR TRAVEL PLANS HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, some governmental measures still in place and to match demand, THAI is currently operating an adjusted flight schedule.

We appreciate the continuous disruption to our passengers' travel plans, caused by THAI being unable to operate its regular scheduled network. We truly apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.

 

If your flight has been cancelled, you or your travel agent (if you booked through a third party) will have been notified of this. Please ensure you check the status of your flight(s) through the "My Booking" section of our website.

 

We understand how important it is to be able to provide greater flexibility at this time – these are the options available to you if your ticket was issued in the UK or Ireland before 11th July 2021 and you were due to travel up to 30th October 2021:

 

1.     Keep your ticket: rebook or extend the validity of your current ticket until 31st December 2022. This is the best option if you would like to travel on the same route at a later date.

2.     Exchange your ticket: if your flight has been cancelled and you can exchange your ticket for a travel voucher valid until 31st December 2022. This is ideal if you think you may want to travel to a different destination at a later date.

3.     Cancel your booking: if your flight has been cancelled by THAI you can also apply for a refund without a penalty fee.

4.     Convert a refund request: if you have a pending refund request and would still like to travel at a later date, you can request to change it into a travel voucher valid until 31st December 2022.  

 

Booked through a travel agent? If you booked your ticket through a travel agent, you will need to contact them for assistance. THAI cannot action bookings made by travel agents under any circumstances.

1. KEEP YOUR TICKET – TRAVEL WHEN YOU ARE READY

 

THAI will waive the applicable change fee so you can rebook now or extend the validity of their ticket and rebook later when you are ready to do so, for travel up to 31st December 2022.

 

Please note the following important information:

 

- You can change the date of travel on the same route, in the same booking class or extend the ticket validity free of charge.

- You can change the date of travel and destination(s) and THAI will waive the applicable rerouting and reissuing fees.

- All travel must be completed by 31st December 2022.

- Differences in fares, taxes and surcharges may apply.

 

To extend your ticket and rebook later:

 

- If you have booked through a travel agent, please contact them directly.

- If you booked through our website, this can be done automatically by filling in this form. Once you are ready to book, you can contact the local THAI office.

 

To rebook now:

 

- If you have booked through a travel agent, please contact them directly.

- If you booked through our website, please contact our reservations team here with your request. If you contact the Reservations team you do not have to do anything else - they will get back to you as soon as they are able to process your request. 

 

 

2. EXCHANGE YOUR TICKET – GET A TRAVEL VOUCHER

 

If your flights have been cancelled by THAI and no suitable alternative has been offered, you can request a refund in the form of a travel voucher for the value of your current totally unused ticket. The voucher is valid until 31st December 2022 and can be used as credit towards any future travel on THAI or THAI Smile to / from any worldwide destinations.

 

Should you wish to choose this option, please note the following important information:

 

A / The Travel Voucher is valid for 1 year from the date of your request. If you do not redeem it by its expiry date, THAI will issue and send you a further travel voucher, which will be valid until 31st December 2022.
B / Please contact your
THAI Office to make a new reservation and issue a ticket against the travel voucher before it expires.
C / Fare/tax/surcharge differences may apply to the new itinerary.
D / The travel voucher can be transferred with proof of document presented at time of ticketing.
E / The travel voucher can be refunded if not used at the end of its expiry date.

 

To request your travel voucher:

 

- If you have booked through a travel agent, please contact them directly.

- If you booked through our website, this can be done automatically by filling in this form. Once you are ready to book, you can contact the local THAI office.

 

 

3. CANCEL YOUR BOOKING - APPLY FOR A REFUND

 

If your flight has been cancelled by THAI and no suitable alternative has been offered, THAI will waive the relevant fee if you opt for a cancellation of their booking. Please note, that due to the extraordinary circumstances, all refunds are considerably delayed and regrettably, we are unable to provide with an exact processing timeframe. 

 

If you opt to cancel a booking not affected by flight cancellations, the relevant cancellation fee as per the ticket's conditions will apply.

 

To cancel your booking:

 

- If you have booked through a travel agent, please contact them directly.

- If you booked through our website, please contact our reservations team here with your request. If you contact the Reservations team you do not have to do anything else - they will get back to you as soon as they are able to process your request, considering the above.

 

 

4. CONVERT A REFUND REQUEST – GET A TRAVEL VOUCHER INSTEAD

 

If you have a pending refund request, changed your mind and would prefer to travel at a later date, you can convert your request into a travel voucher, valid until 31st December 2022 and that can be used as credit towards any future travel on THAI or THAI Smile to / from any worldwide destinations.

 

To convert your travel voucher:

 

- If you have booked through a travel agent, please contact them directly.

- If you booked through our website, please contact us through this form. Once you are ready to book, please contact your local THAI office.
