About Star Alliance
Combining strength and innovation In 1997, five airlines from the Americas, Europe and Asia founded Star Alliance as the first global aviation alliance. We’re still pioneering – dedicated to international travel innovation and providing customers a seamless journey.
Today, Star Alliance comprises 25 member airlines, each with its own distinctive culture and style of service. Alliance members come together at over 50 global hubs to offer smooth connections across a world-leading global network. A management company based in Frankfurt, Germany, and Singapore, coordinates Star Alliance projects and activities, which include airport co-location, digital infrastructure, frequent flyer integration, joint business lounge projects, and other services to improve the travel experience.
Simply put, our strategy is to be the most digitally advanced global airline alliance, delivering seamless travel experiences, with a loyalty proposition others talk about.
Star Alliance Member Airlines
Our member airlines include many of the world’s top aviation companies as well as smaller, more regional carriers. Together, they offer easy connections to almost any destination in the world. Each airline maintains its own individual style and cultural identity, bringing the richness of diversity and multiculturalism to the Alliance. At the same time each airline shares a common dedication to the highest standards of safety and customer service. Click on a logo to learn more about each one:
