Redeem miles to add extra baggage allowance on eligible THAI flights.

Royal Orchid Plus members may redeem miles for excess baggage allowance on THAI international flights departing from Bangkok. The miles required are determined per flight segment based on THAI’s redemption rates aligned with excess baggage charges by route so you can shop and travel with greater peace of mind.

• Available for THAI international flights departing from Bangkok only
• Redemption starts from 5 kg, and can be increased in 5 kg increments as needed
• If the actual baggage weight is less than the redeemed allowance, or if miles were redeemed in excess of requirement, the reward is non-refundable and cannot be returned as cash or re-credited as Royal Orchid Plus miles
• Please check in at Suvarnabhumi Airport at least 2 hours before departure 
• Inform the staff of the excess baggage weight you wish to redeem and contact THAI’s ticketing staff for miles deduction from your account
• Please present the receipt to the check-in staff; you may also redeem this reward for your eligible award nominee
• The member must be present at the check-in counter to confirm miles deduction from the member’s account for the redemption

* Excess baggage is determined by the paid fare and/or Royal Orchid Plus membership status. Excess Baggage Awards are valid on international THAI flights departing from Bangkok, beginning at 5 kilos and in increments of 5 kilos. Excess Baggage Awards have no cash value and any difference in the weight and miles used cannot be refunded in currency, nor can Excess Baggage Awards be re-credited.
