Since the beginning of the airline business, a wide variety of company giveaways such as key chains, travel bags, clothes, umbrellas and aircraft models have become increasingly popular items that airlines present to travel agents and passengers as souvenirs on various occasions. With the increasing popularity of such items among the general public, several airlines have formed units within their respective organisations specialising in airline giveaways.

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited operates its giveaway business under the brand name of THAI Shop since the year 2000. The first THAI Shop is located at THAI's Head Office on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road. THAI Shop products are well received by customers; and due to demand and popularity, a wide range of products have been added to the product catalog. Currently, THAI Shop has expanded its shops with branches at THAI's Bangkok Sales Offices in Larn Luang, Silom, Suvarnabhumi, Lak Si areas and in Chiang Mai. In the near future, THAI Shop branches will be expanded to THAI's regional offices in Chiang Rai, Hat Yai, and Phuket.
