Relax before your journey at THAI lounges
With a miles redemption, Royal Orchid Plus members can enjoy a more comfortable pre-flight experience at THAI lounges—featuring food and beverages, work-friendly facilities, and shower rooms available at select Royal Silk Lounges—helping you travel smoothly from start to finish.
- Royal Orchid Plus Basic and Silver members may redeem 6,500 miles per visit for access to the Royal Silk Lounge at Suvarnabhumi Airport.
- Members may also redeem the same amount (6,500 miles per person) for a travel companion traveling on the same THAI flight.
- Royal Orchid Plus Gold and Platinum members, and one accompanying guest, enjoy complimentary lounge access at Suvarnabhumi Airport in accordance with membership benefits, with no additional charge.
- Gold and Platinum members may also redeem lounge access for additional accompanying guests at 5,500 miles per person.
- Kindly present your membership card or digital membership card, together with your boarding pass, to the lounge staff when using the lounge.
Lounge access redeemed with miles is subject to availability at the time of entry and may be restricted or unavailable during peak periods. The lounge access duration is 2 hours 30 minutes per visit, with the following details:
- Domestic Business Class Lounge: Level 2 Concourse A (Piers A) open 05:00–22:00
- International Business Class Lounge: Level 3, Concourse D and E (Piers D and E), open 05:00–02:00 (next day), unless otherwise advised
- Please note that shower facilities and/or other special services are not included in this miles redemption.

Royal Orchid Plus members may redeem miles for excess baggage allowance on THAI international flights departing from Bangkok. The miles required are determined per flight segment based on THAI’s redemption rates aligned with excess baggage charges by route so you can shop and travel with greater peace of mind.
- Available for THAI international flights departing from Bangkok only
- Redemption starts from 5 kg, and can be increased in 5 kg increments as needed
- If the actual baggage weight is less than the redeemed allowance, or if miles were redeemed in excess of requirement, the reward is non-refundable and cannot be returned as cash or re-credited as Royal Orchid Plus miles
- Please check in at Suvarnabhumi Airport at least 2 hours before departure
- Inform the staff of the excess baggage weight you wish to redeem and contact THAI’s ticketing staff for miles deduction from your account
- Please present the receipt to the check-in staff; you may also redeem this reward for your eligible award nominee
- The member must be present at the check-in counter to confirm miles deduction from the member’s account for the redemption
* Excess baggage is determined by the paid fare and/or Royal Orchid Plus membership status. Excess Baggage Awards are valid on international THAI flights departing from Bangkok, beginning at 5 kilos and in increments of 5 kilos. Excess Baggage Awards have no cash value and any difference in the weight and miles used cannot be refunded in currency, nor can Excess Baggage Awards be re-credited.
