Thai Airways International would like to inform our valued customers that the checked baggage allowance policy will be transitioning from the weight concept to the piece concept.
We hereby announce that the current weight-based allowance will be replaced by the piece-based allowance as follows:
Effective Dates
● THAI Domestic Routes / InterTC3 (All Asia, Eastern Indian Ocean Islands, Oceania) / TC2 (All Europe)
Applicable for tickets purchased or reissued (for unused tickets) on/after 25 November 2025,
and
for travel commencing on/after 2 March 2026.
● Itineraries including TC1 (the Americas)
Applicable for tickets purchased or reissued (for unused tickets) on/after 28 November 2025,
and
for travel commencing on/after 2 March 2026.

Due to this update, excess baggage charges will no longer be calculated per kilogram. Instead, fees will be applied based on the number of pieces or the total linear dimensions of the baggage.
