On board, in the privacy of their segregated cabin, passengers receive exceptional, friendly, and personal hospitality from a dedicated cabin crew member. Luxury innovations include the newly installed sleeper seating. Electronically controlled, with 180 degrees of recline and almost seven feet of space in which to stretch out, these seats are truly state-of-the-art (click here for seat demonstration.) Each seat is equipped with the interactive Audio Visual On Demand entertainment system, plus in-seat telephone and laptop power outlet.*

In-flight Entertainment

Dramatic progress has been made over recent years in the development of new systems for in-flight entertainment, giving passengers much greater choice and variety to occupy their time during a flight, a welcome benefit, especially, on long distance routes.

THAI has taken advantage of the very latest technological advances in this field to install a state-of-the-art Audio-Visual On-Demand in-flight entertainment system on its newest jetliners and retrofit the new system on many of its jetliners in its existing fleet*.

The new THAI interactive AVOD system offers literally hundreds of options. With larger screens and touch-control commands, passengers can choose between many of the latest multi-lingual hit movies, classic oldies and popular TV programmes. There are news, travel destination and information channels, music from jazz to classical, Asian to Western, to please every taste, plus interactive games and kids cartoons. Passengers can learn the basics of a new language and even practice meditation with the new AVOD system.

To assist passengers in making their selection among the hundreds of options available, THAI offers “Vision”, a comprehensive printed guide, on board. The choice is endless, the pleasure unlimited – just another example of the THAI desire to make every flight more rewarding for everyone.

In-flight Cuisine

In-flight dining and refreshment representing the peak of excellence is a major highlight of the THAI Royal First Class experience. Within the privileged seclusion of THAI Royal First Class cabins, the club-like ambiance is enhanced by the presentation of truly gastronomic dining opportunities. Meals are served, with timing adjusted to each passenger’s preference, by a dedicated staff renowned for their gracious hospitality, and in a style more suitable for a classic gourmet restaurant.

Royal First Class passengers are welcomed on board with a glass of Dom Perignon, Bollinger or an appropriate vintage Champagne, and the premium bar service includes aged whiskies, Napoleon brandies, a full range of ports and liqueurs, beers and soft drinks with, naturally, a selection of the finest vintage wines selected by a panel of experts.

The exquisite presentation of each meal reflects the skill and experience of THAI master chefs and the international tastes of their honoured guests. With choices for every course, dishes are presented, beautifully garnished, on fine porcelain, with the finest table linen and crystal glasses to enhance the enjoyment of connoisseur travellers. Meal plans are varied and innovative but, if they prefer, Royal First Class passengers may take advantage of the exclusive THAI advanced-order service to cater to their individual preferences.

The quality of hospitality and exclusive facilities offered to our honoured Royal First Class guests is exceptional in every regard. On intercontinental flights lasting six hours or more, comfort wear and slippers are provided. On flights four hours or more, a beautiful tailored travel kit is offered.

Inside are a range of top-brand toiletries including such items as lip balm, socks, a toothbrush set, comb and eye shade. The softest blankets and pillows finest linen, porcelain and crystal.

The exclusive Royal First Class toilets are provided with soft linen towels and a range of top-name toiletries, for ladies and gentlemen, to refresh themselves and add fragrance to their flight.  The range of toiletries is changed from time to time, to add variety, but they are always of the finest fashion brands.
