On board THAI flights Royal Silk class passenger enjoy segregated cabins, with two-abreast seating. On long-haul flights, newly installed shell seats offer 60 inches (five feet) of stretch-out space, with 170 degrees of recline for sleeping. Each electronically controlled seat is equipped with telephone and laptop power outlet**. The interactive Audio Visual On Demand entertainment system offers literally hundreds of channels, for movies, music, information and games.
In-flight Entertainment
Dramatic progress has been made over recent years in the development of new systems for in-flight entertainment, giving passengers much greater choice and variety to occupy their time during a flight, a welcome benefit, especially, on long distance routes.
THAI has taken advantage of the very latest technological advances in this field to install a state-of-the-art Audio-Visual On-Demand in-flight entertainment system on its newest jetliners and retrofit the new system on many of its jetliners in its existing fleet*.
The new THAI interactive AVOD system offers literally hundreds of options. With larger screens and touch-control commands, passengers can choose between many of the latest multi-lingual hit movies, classic oldies and popular TV programmes. There are news, travel destination and information channels, music from jazz to classical, Asian to Western, to please every taste, plus interactive games and kids cartoons. Passengers can learn the basics of a new language and even practice meditation with the new AVOD system.
To assist passengers in making their selection among the hundreds of options available, THAI offers “Vision”, a comprehensive printed guide, on board. The choice is endless, the pleasure unlimited – just another example of the THAI desire to make every flight more rewarding for everyone.

In-flight Cuisine
Many THAI Royal Silk Class passengers travel frequently with our airline, on business or official duty, as well as on vacation. THAI international master chefs have exercised their imagination and expertise in the creation of innovative menus for Royal Silk Class menu plans, which are changed regularly to create variety. Meals are served, restaurant style, in individual courses, always with a tempting choice of main dish. Presentation is also magnificent, with porcelain place settings, fine table linen and crystal glasses.
Every aspect of the refreshment service is lavish, with a full complimentary bar choice, offering fine wines of notable vintage, premium brands of spirits, vintage ports and liqueurs, plus a variety of beers and soft drinks.

THAI Royal Silk Class passengers also receive the most generous hospitality during their flights. For resting times, soft blankets and pillows will comfort them, while their lavish multi-course meals are served, gourmet restaurant style, with a tempting choice of Asian or western dishes.
For flights four hours or more, a travel kit is presented, containing a selection of toiletries and cosmetic products, together with an eye shade, comfort socks and toothbrush set. On flights to Japan and Korea, slippers are offered as a substitute to socks.
The exclusive Royal Silk Class toilets are generously equipped with leading brands of toiletries, such as eau de Cologne, eau de toilette, and moisturizing hand cream.
