For flights departing from Bangkok, Royal Orchid Plus miles required for redeeming Excess Baggage Awards are as per the chart below. Excess Baggage Awards are valid for one sector only from Bangkok to final destination. Miles required are aligned with excess baggage charges on THAI operated flights.

At airport check-in in Bangkok, at least 2 hours prior to flight departure determine the amount of excess baggage and go to THAI Customer Service where miles are instantly deducted from your account, then present the receipt at check-in. You can even redeem miles for an Award Nominee, however you must also be present at check-in to authorize mileage deduction from your account.
Whatever the reason for overweight baggage, shopping, studying or extended travel Excess Baggage Awards are a great way to use miles and save.

Excess Baggage Awards are valid on international THAI flights departing from Bangkok, beginning at 5 kilos and in increments of 5 kilos. Excess Baggage Awards have no cash value and any difference in the weight and miles used cannot be refunded in currency, nor can Excess Baggage Awards be re-credited.
